Hi, I’m Mindy!
Among other things, I am a financial planning enthusiast! I like to plan anything and everything and taking charge of my personal finances just made sense. Now I’ve decided to take the next step and share what I’ve learned about personal financial planning with you!
My background is in engineering. I have spent the last ten years working as an engineer, first in a manufacturing facility and then as a research and development engineer. So, this is a new step for me and I’m so excited you’re here to share it!
While growing up, I wasn’t blind to the importance of personal finance. In fact, my parents did a lot to ensure my siblings and I were financially aware. They were avid savers and made sure that we understood the importance of living below your means, how to use various accounts, that a credit card balance should be paid off monthly, the list goes on… they set me up for financial success by introducing personal finance to me throughout my childhood. (Thanks Mom and Dad!)
When I graduated from college, all of the sudden, I was making significantly more money than I ever had before. While I had expenses, including student loans to repay, I had to decide how to spend (and save) my money. This led to my interest in personal financial planning.
Since then, I have gone through several life stages and throughout these phases of life, my financial goals have changed and I have learned more about different aspects of financial planning.
I still have a lot to learn about financial planning, but I’m excited to keep learning more and to share my knowledge with you. My goal is to help you take control of your finances and be confident that your financial plans will help you meet your financial goals!
